A SEASONINGS AND FLAVORED SALTS RECIPE
2-3 servings
Main Ingredients
1.5 pounds thinly cut beef sirloin
2 tbsp of grape seed oil (any vegetable oil)6 cups of mixed spring salad greens
1 red bell pepper thinly sliced
9 cherry tomatoes halved
1/4 cup of roasted almond slices
1/4 cup of freshly chopped cilantro
1/2 teaspoon of curry powder
1/4 teaspoon of fresh grated ginger
Hawaii Kai’s Red Gold Sea Salt
Add all the vegetables in a large mixing bowl.
Beef marinade:
Combine in a bowl
2 cups of green onions chopped
2 tbsp minced garlic
1/4 cup low sodium soy sauce
2 tbsp of rice vinegar
2 tbsp of sesame oil
1 tbsp of brown sugar
Directions
1. Drizzle half the marinade onto the beef; Cover and let it marinate overnight in the fridge or at least two hours before cooking
2. To the remaining marinade, add a teaspoon of curry powder for the salad dressing
3. Heat the oil in a large skillet over high heat until very hot
4. Remove the beef from the marinade and quickly stir-fry the beef for 2-3 minutes
5. In another mixing bowl, toss the spring salad mix, cilantro and almond slices with the reserved dressing
6. Put the salad onto a nice plate and place the cooked beef on top
7. Sprinkle some red alaea seasalt over the beef for added crunch
